The CRTC was created in 2019 in order to provide resources to underserved communities. The Gifted Tree of Love organization began collecting gifts, toys, food and household items, and monetary donations for the underserved community of Calvert 11 years ago. It is our mission to empower and motivate others in a safe environment while providing comfort and joy to the residents through the holiday season. In 2019 we decided the needs were much greater throughout the community, so we started our nonprofit – The Conflict Resolution & Tutorial Center.
The Center allows us an opportunity to provide a wider variety of services which include college preparation, resume writing, etiquette courses, peer mediation, school families, tutorials, food and nutrition, rental and electrical assistance, GED, job training, a backpack program, as well as assistance with daily needs. Our organization serves over 150 kids and families each year.
Mission
Our mission is to educate, empower and prepare children to become life-long learners through positive change.
